Friends of Doyle Park
A non-profit group is launching a $1.5 million project to turn Doyle Park, an overgrown 24-acre space adjacent to Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley, into a family recreational spot that lifts nearby neighborhoods. Friends of Doyle Park, the organization spearheading the two-year project, is seeking donations and community support to revitalize the park at 1728 Rosedale Road. The non-profit’s goal is to transform Doyle Park into a centerpiece of pride for all ages and for generations to come.
Doyle Park’s transformation will see the addition of amenities such as athletic fields, a playground, walking trail, splash park, and event pavilions. The project also calls for the addition of observation terraces that will provide families with an unmatched vantage point to watch flights by the passenger jets produced at the Airbus A320 Family Assembly Line at the Aeroplex.
